Yesterday, I got to go out armed with nothing but my Nikon, a 50mm, and natural light and shoot one of my absolute favorite Nashvillians and authors, Anne Jackson. Anne is the woman behind the book
Mad Church Disease, which is a hands down MUST read for anyone in ministry and is currently working on her new book,
Permission to Speak Freely. Her
blog is one of the most read christian blogs in the world (one that I've definitely been blessed to read daily), but you really really couldn't find a nicer more down to earth person with a heart as big as hers. The thing that makes Anne even more of a champ is that unlike a lot of blog posts from photographers hyping up the subjects of their shoots, I actually mean EVERY word of it from the bottom of my heart.
I also once saw her drinking Dr Pepper that was heated up out of a travel coffee mug. She let me smell it. So...you know...yeah.
